Che Guerrero, is a journalist, writer, artivist, content creator, and comedian. He also told a riveting story about his personal journey and won $100 for Esperanza Immigration Legal Services

At Mission Story Slam 12, Deian McBryde took the stage with a story about love, loss, and the power of presence. An attorney, mediator, and tribal judge pro tempore, Deian shared how the death of a dear friend reshaped his outlook, and reminded him to make time for the good things in life. That lesson didn’t just stay with him. It became his life’s mission. His story stayed with all of us, and we’re honored to share a piece of it with you.

Monica is the Founder and President of the Diaspora DNA Story Center in Philadelphia. She is a is a museum leader, consultant, and cultural entrepreneur. Monica shared a bit of her family history with us and reminded us that the time to preserve our history is NOW.
